TRR is a race-off across Romania (S-East to N-West) of about 800km divided in 14 stages (average 58km per day). The idea was born after I had run some km with runner Serge Girard, during his “Tour de l’Union Europeenne” in 2010. The 2011 edition, 19 june - 2 july, is the first edition without big expectations. I'd like to call it "a run between friends" who want to share such adventure. Every runner is in charge of supplying himself/herself during this event. Best is to be accompanied by someone with a car/motorbike/bike. Each one has to decide what aliments and drinks he/she needs, the pace and/or stops. We will run on asphalt roads (national or regional). As a general rule the roads in Romania are dangerous, thus is better to run on the left side (cars coming from front). Details about the route you may find on Traseu. Every runner should maintain the record of his own time. At the end of each day we will collect all times, ranking being for information only. Sleeping : rather small motels or tent or in the car. We will see this on site.
