Run to Haiti

Hampton School
28 Apr, 2010 - 1 Jan, 1970

About this event

Run To Haiti will take place at Hampton School, with LEH pupils crossing the gate to take part as well. It has taken longer than expected, what with undesirable weather and pitch issues, but if the weather holds we will definitely be running on Wednesday 28th April. This time round we have a full day to run in, which will hopefully make the event smoother, and fun for everyone involved. The aim of Run to Haiti remains the same: to have 1000 or more students from Hampton and LEH running for a set time to cover the 170 marathons which make up the 7190km from London to Haiti. All funds raised will be sent to the DEC, whose efforts are ongoing in the process of rebuilding Haiti since it was hit by the devastating earthquake of January 2010. We aim for each student to raise at least £50 sponsorship money, so a target of £50,000, one of the largest in the history of both schools. We even hope that this ambitious target could be exceeded - please give generously!
