In February this year, my life was saved by coastguard teams from Stranraer, Portpatrick, Ballantrae and Rescue199 Helicopter. To show my appreciation, starting on Friday 20th August at 08:00 hrs, I am hiking between Portpatrick, Stranraer and Ballantrae Coastguard stations before continuing north to the SAR helicopter base at Prestwick Airport., finishing at 10:00hrs on 23rd August. While I am doing this challenge I will be raising funds for the Coastguard Association , a charity who provide support for serving and ex-coastguards in their times of need.
