As long-term supporters of Pilgrims Hospices in East Kent, we wanted to take on a new challenge to raise awareness and, more importantly, funds for this very worthy cause. The annual cycle challenge is something we have all enjoyed immensely, and now we want to take it a (big) step further by covering over 4 times that distance in 4 days! And so the Lands End to Margate (LEMA) ride was conceived. Over 430 miles, and 23,000 feet of ascent in 4 days, traversing the full width of the widest part of mainland UK. Mad? Quite probably!
