The first ever GSi Bournemouth Marathon Festival takes place on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 October 2013, and by taking part you will be supporting our volunteer Lifeboat Crews and Lifeguards. Ordinary people doing extraordinary things to save lives at sea. Our headquarters are just a stone's throw from the Bournemouth Marathon Festival’s proposed routes – and so is Poole Lifeboat Station, home to one of our busiest lifeboat crews. As you run along the seven miles of golden sands in Poole and Bournemouth, you'll see our volunteers in iconic RNLI uniforms cheering you on from our lifeguard stations.
