Wessex Gravel Safari

Sherborne, United Kingdom
26 Apr, 2020 - 26 Apr, 2020

About this event

The Wessex Gravel safari is a challenge ride of 111 miles through some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK. Numbers are restructed to 25 people so as not to impact on the route and other users of the trails.

The format is designed so you can enjoy the scenery and test your technical skills on various terrains and surfaces. The entire route is ridable but some may struggle on the technical sand and gravel sections.

Riders are expected to be self supported throughout other than at the scheduled refreshment stops which are included in the price:

  • Lulworth Castle Tea Room (Tea or Coffee and a scone)
  • The Pig Lunch Stop (Flatbread Pizza and 2 drinks)
  • For any riders that are moving quickly there is also the option to have tea and cake at the old stream railway station at Shllingston (closes at 16:00 hrs this may be extended to 5 pm and will be confirmed nearer the event)

There will be no mechanical support on the route due to the difficulty of locating riders that could be several miles from the road network.
