Map My Tracks on Symbian OS phones

Optimising Map My Tracks

Blackberry preferences

To get the best out of Map My Tracks it is recommended that the application is allowed to use certain facilities on the phone as default. This will help to ensure that an activity session is not interrupted unnecessarily.

To set the correct preferences go to the Blackberry home screen then do the following:
» Press the Menu Key to open the Blackberry application menu.
» Using the trackball browse to Options and click the trackball to open.
» Using the trackball browse to Advanced Options and click the trackball to open.
» Using the trackball browse to Applications and click the trackball to open.
» Using the trackball browse to Map My Tracks and click the Menu key
» Using the trackball scroll to and click Edit Default Permissions.
» Using the trackball set Connections to Allow, Interactions to Allow and User Data to Allow.
» Save the settings by clicking the Menu key and selecting Save.

The Map My Tracks application preferences are now optimised. These settings will ensure that it is possible for Map My Tracks to reconnect in the event that the network connection is interrupted in any way and that the activity session can continue.
