We are pleased to announce the release of Map My Tracks version 1.4.3, which is now event more compatible than ever.

Amongst various improvements and minor bug fixes comes improved handling of Blackberry devices with internal GPS. Some users informed us that their Blackberry wasn’t finding its GPS position, or that the initial acquisition of their position took a long time. As a result, we’ve been working hard to identify the handsets affected and iron out the problems. Version 1.4.3 is well worth the upgrade.

For optimum performance on Blackberry devices, set up the network access and GPS permissions. This avoids annoying pop up dialog boxes when you start to track. This can be done on Blackberrys by navigatinge to Options->Advanced Options->Applications->Map My Tracks and set the relevant permissions to “Allow”.
