I’m having a hankering for a bluetooth heart rate monitor so I can get properly anoraky about my bpm whilst exercising. I use an Android device and MyTracks to do the tracking and it has the function to pair with the Zephyr HRM belt (can’t recall the name). It’s rather pricey and Polar do something similar for less - but MyTracks may or may not support it.
Anyway, we keep hearing that an Android version of MMT will be available in the future so I’m just wondering if this new version will support HRM data? If so, will it show it on the unit and will it show when it is uploaded?
I never really look at the device whilst I’m out biking - no interest in it as I’m happy to get lost and find some new trails - I’m not expecting to want to look at the unit whilst biking when the HRM is on, but it would be good to see some BPM stats and get this data uploaded to the site - for the anoraky-geek in me.
So, if it isn’t already included, can it get added to the feature list please? And is there any update on the android version? It’s great hearing about all these new apps/features that are coming out for the Iphone, but it’s a right pain in the behind that all these features are available for other devices but not contained in a single package for Android.
I say single package for Android, what I mean is a single package that is tied in with the rest of MMT - like OutFront is for Apple.
Thanks.
