We’re pleased to announce that today we have released Map My Tracks Mobile v1.3.1 v1.4.3.

What new in this release? We’ve added some new features to the Where am I tool. Now it’s possible to regularly update your current location on sites like Twitter, FriendFeed and Fire Eagle. Before you needed to manually share your location, now it’s possible to set an update rate from 1 minute to an hour. Best of all this feature is free to use on both the Free Plan and Pro Plan.

The latest version release can be downloaded over the air or to your desktop to copy files across to your phone.

Hi - the Blackberry Download ALX file doesn’t appear to work?  Any news yet on fixing the bugs with the software on Blackberries?

Hi there maddrurs. I’m pleased to say that we are now carrying out final testing for the next release that should rectify a number of Blackberry problems that some users were suffering. If all goes to plan this will be released early next week. Keep an eye on the blog for updates.

This is a general update to inform all Blackberry users that there is a new release available to download.

Map My Tracks version 1.4.4 is now more compatible than ever and improves the handling of Blackberry devices with internal GPS. Some users informed us that their Blackberry wasn’t finding their GPS position, or that the initial acquisition of their position took a long time. As a result, we’ve been working hard to identify the handsets affected and iron out the problems.

Version 1.4.4 can be downloaded from http://www.mapmytracks.com/download/

For optimum performance on Blackberry devices, set up the network access and GPS permissions. This avoids annoying pop up dialog boxes when you start to track.
Navigate to Options->Advanced Options->Applications->Map My Tracks and set the relevant permissions to “Allow”.
