Richard, the message suggests that JAVA on your phone can’t access bluetooth directly. As our application is JAVA-based it is unable to locate the GPS receiver via Bluetooth.
In your case you will have to configure the GPS receiver to use the manual option and set up a COM port.
To do so first navigate to the Bluetooth settings page within your phone operating system
1. Click the Start button
2. Click the Settings option
3. Choose the System tab
4. Click Bluetooth
5. Pair your GPS device
6. Choose the Devices tab
7. Choose “New partnership” and follow onscreen instructions
8. Set up a COM ports
Choose the COM ports tab
Choose “New outgoing port”
Select your GPS device
Choose a COM port.
This is the COM port you will choose in the Manual option within Map My Tracks Mobile’s GPS settings page.
