Hi.  I have just downloaded v1.2.1 and got it to install ok on my Tmobile VarioII with CPIT bluetooth GPS.  I have setup the GPS to be on COM2.  Running memorymap and visualGPSce i can see satellites and get my lat/lon position fine.
However, in Mapmytracks if i choose Bluetooth in settings, it just searches forever (and the stop button is unresponsive - i have to restart the app).  If i setup manually to COM2 at 4800bps (the settings that work in memorymap) and then go back to Where am i, I get asked if i should allow mapmytracks to access the network, then I get a yellow crosshair in the centre and circular swirls.  I have left this runnning for 15 mins and it doesnt progress.
If i give up and go to Track instead, I get a black screen with ...Standby, which again doesnt progress.

Any ideas what i am doing wrong?

Thanks

Hi Mat,
Do you see an “Acquiring GPS” message at the top of the screen either on the Where Am I or Tracking pages? It sounds like you are doing everything correctly, but depending on weather you see the message will allow us to determine if the GPS is the problem or the network connection.

Regards,
Rob

No, I have never seen ‘acquiring GPS’.  All i get is the yellow crosshair and 9 rotating swirls.

In fact, having just had a quick go this morning, I see exactly the same yellow cross hair and swirls when my bluetooth is off, and my GPS is 15 miles away.  Any ideas what i may be doing wrong with enabling the GPS?  As i said before, tomtom, memorymap, and visualGPSce all work (though i have had problems getting googleearth to plot my GPS location - it only plots its assumed location from GSM triangulation).
