Weâ€™re pleased to announce that today we have released Map My Tracks Mobile ~~v1.3.1~~ v1.4.3.

What new in this release? We’ve added some new features to the Where am I tool. Now it’s possible to regularly update your current location on sites like Twitter, FriendFeed and Fire Eagle. Before you needed to manually share your location, now it’s possible to set an update rate from 1 minute to an hour. Best of all this feature is free to use on both the Free Plan and Pro Plan.

The latest version release can be downloaded over the air or to your desktop to copy files across to your phone.

New release - v1.4.3

We are pleased to announce the release of Map My Tracks version 1.4.3, which is now event more compatible than ever.

Amongst various improvements and minor bug fixes comes improved handling of Blackberry devices with internal GPS. Some users informed us that their Blackberry wasn’t finding its GPS position, or that the initial acquisition of their position took a long time. As a result, we’ve been working hard to identify the handsets affected and iron out the problems. Version 1.4.3 is well worth the upgrade.

For optimum performance on Blackberry devices, set up the network access and GPS permissions. This avoids annoying pop up dialog boxes when you start to track. This can be done on Blackberrys by navigatinge to Options->Advanced Options->Applications->Map My Tracks and set the relevant permissions to “Allow”.

New release - v1.0.1

We are really excited to be launching the latest release of Map My Tracks Mobile.

Version 1.0.1 is the result of some great feedback from our beta testers. Our thanks go out to all of you that have contributed to Map My Tracks.

Some of the main additions to v1.0.1 include:
* Enhanced tracking interface
* Onscreen display includes:
- current speed
- average speed
- top speed
- distance
- pace (both fastest and average)
- direction
- current position (latitude & longitude)
* Track summary including split time analysis
* Various other user improvements

We have extended the range of phones that Map My Tracks supports. At present Nokia, Sony Ericsson and some Samsung, Motorola, Siemens, Pansonic, Lenovo, HTC and LG phones are supported. Map My Tracks also works with Windows Mobile 5.0 and 6.0 but at present phones with QWERTY keypads are not fully supported. We are working on a release for these handsets. Watch this space.

We’re pleased to announce that today we have released Map My Tracks Mobile v1.2.

In this release we have added:

Where Am I?
Show your current position on a map without starting a track. Sometimes it useful to just see where you are without tracking. Where am I does just this.

Tag tracks
Organise your tracks by tagging them directly from your phone. Now you can tag your tracks from your phone as you start them and have them appear within your tracks on the site. It’s a great way to organise your tracks by activity, location or whatever you find useful.

Global time
We now have a universal notion of time. No matter where you are in the world, viewing a track in realtime shows correct track information across time zones.

Signed version
We have also made available a signed (trusted) version of the Map My Tracks Mobile. For many people, this will help Map My Tracks install and work correctly.
