        <p>Hi! Today I tested the new version of the Java application. After I recorded <a href="http://www.mapmytracks.com/explore/track/462">this track</a> the following information was displayed on the phone:

These are different from what I can see on the web interface (which seems correct). I will repeat the test soon&#8230;

        <p>Hi Maps.
</p>
<p>
Today&#8217;s bug, picky and niche again, but thought you&#8217;d appreciate the feedback.
</p>
<p>
Using an SPV S710 / Orange SPV R650, running Smartphone 6, there is a graphical error when re-orientating the screen.
</p>
<p>
If the program boots in portrait, but then is switched to landscape, an area at the top of the screen portrait-wise, or right of the screen landscape-wise, isn&#8217;t redrawn, continuing to display part of the Window&#8217;s Status bar (&#8217;Java&#8217; and Battery icon) and program title (soft blue and &#8216;dashboard&#8217;).
</p>
<p>
This could be a Windows bug however, as even when one quits the program, back to the java program selection menu, the area still isn&#8217;t re-drawn over.
</p>
<p>
I can grab a second camera phone and take a picture if my description makes no sense.
</p>
<p>
It could be a simple fix within the program, or it could be an un-resolvable weakness in the Smartphone Java VM..
</p>
<p>
Hope this helps in some way.

        <p>Hi,
</p>
<p>
I was hesitating whether to post this or not since Firefox 3 is still Beta and I guess you have plenty of other things to do. :)
</p>
<p>
Anyway, if you load a track or your own track list into FF3 the right hand side of the screen (with the track list or data) jumps down below the map. I saw this on Windows2000 and XP. I never saw this with other browsers. It is probably a new bug in Firefox that they introduced in Beta 3 (Beta 2 was okay). I think it is good to be prepared for it. Who knows whether it will be corrected later&#8230;
</p>
<p>
I can send screenshots if it helps.
</p>
<p>
Best regards, Zsolt

        <p>Hi guys.
</p>
<p>
Big fan of what you have achieved with this app, but I thought I should log my bugs as I find them..
</p>
<p>
First one, and I&#8217;m not smart enough to diagnose it, but with my Orange SPV E650 / HTC S710, using the keypad or the pull out qwerty keyboard, it is impossible to enter a zero numeric &#8216;0&#8217; - on the keypad (or strangely keyboard) zero is interpreted as a space.
</p>
<p>
Secondly, backspace, again with either keypad or keyboard, removes one character, but then asks if the user wants to quit.
</p>
<p>
Creating consistent user experiences over different phone models using Java must be a nightmare!
</p>
<p>
If you&#8217;d like I&#8217;ll keep tracking discoveries as I find them.
</p>
<p>
Regards,
</p>

        <p>Hi,
</p>
<p>
I managed to reproduce the disappearing position marker problem on IE6. If I start the browser and then load a track for the first time the marker is visible. If I simply reload the same page or load any other tracks, there is no marker.
</p>
<p>
After that I deleted all cookies, reloaded the page and it did not help.
</p>
<p>
Mysterious behavior from a browser that one page affects another subsequent page without using cookies&#8230;
</p>
<p>
I hope this helps you to track down the problem.
