I am using HTC 620 (Windows Mobile) with a Holox 541 Bluetooth GPS. The GPS appears as COM6 and I believe that the Baud rate is 9600 (tested with Google maps). The application seems to work well (ie Java is working well) but I cannot set up up the GPS successfully. I go to Settings, GPS and then choose Manual, COM6 and 9600. Whenever I try to use the application, I just get the message ...Standby - which I take to mean that it is still searching for a GPS signal. Help please
Thanks, John

Hi there,

tried the MapMyTracks software v1.3.1 on a Sony Ericsson G700. Using the software is a bit awkward because it does not support the touch screen. My GPS module is a BlueTooth RoyalTek RBT-1000 which is working fine with a Wayfinder navigation software.

The problem is: When I start tracking, the software records the first waypoint but then cannot communicate with the GPS module any more (writing “Acquiring GPS” on the screen). The GPS is detected without any problems under “Dashboard” - “Settings” - “GPS” but communication is lost after receiving of the first waypoint. The same problem occurs when I use “Where Am I?” - location detected and shown on the map, but then the message “Acquiring GPS”

Is there any special setting that I have forgotten?

Kind regards,

Hi,
I installed the 1.2 version of mapmytrack without any problems. But if I want to use it and start the programm I can only use the enter-, esc- and the menu-butten. So it isn’t possible to select a menu-item. Because there is no user assigned the software want me to do so. So I’m in the user-item and the keyboard is displaied. I’m not able to scroll the cursor with my trackball and it is also impossible to use the keybord.
The firmware of my Blackberry is up to date and I’ve done a cold reboot (replace batterie).
Has anyone a solution for me? :-(
Best regards,
FritzB

downloaded the new version 1.4.1 yesterday on to my E65 (had problems previously with my Nokia 6120, though might be a lack of memory problem). Anyway, phone syncs to my Emtac Bluetooth GPS fine, starts recording fine but either the GPS location won’t update or the GPS will update for a short while and then stop. Programme is still running, timing is counting, only no GPS updates.

I use same GPS with Nokia Maps and everything works fine… any ideas?

Great product guys!! I really like it! I just wish I can get it going! :-)

Hi:

I have a Moto Q system and have Map My Tracks installed per directions. I am logged in on both the web page and my phone.
When I attempt to go to GPS and setup. The screen says searching for devices but never finds the device. The phone can detect the device, since I use Google Maps and Live Search on the phone. Is there another way to setup the connection. The GPS is a Navibe. I know I have good satellite connection because I have a solid connection light. Any suggestions would help.
