Map My Tracks appeals to amateur sportsmen and women in a wide range of sports as it turns most mobile phones into real-time GPS sports tracking device that makes training fun, provides a competitive edge and brings a new insight into sporting activities.
We’re always looking for ways to spread the word about Map My Tracks to sportsmen and women worldwide. If you’re in touch with runners, cyclists, sailors or any other sportspeople then you can easily become a Map My Tracks affiliate and earn money for your club, charity, company or organisation.
How could I promote Map My Tracks?
Here are just a few ideas about how affiliates are promoting Map My Tracks:
- Organising a race or event? Include a Map My Tracks flyer with your race information you send out or in the event goody bags. If you’re in touch with participants by email why not add Map My Tracks information to an existing email?
- Club secretary? Promote Map My Tracks in your club newsletter or set up a product demonstration to show off the Map My Tracks service in action.
- Sports e-tailer? Include a promotion for Map My Tracks in your order confirmation emails to help increase your revenue easily.
How does it work?
You promote the Map My Tracks service to your customers, race participants or members. In return we’ll pay you commission for every customer that signs up for the Map My Tracks Pro Plan.
You will be allocated a unique referrer address, such as www.mapmytracks.com/canoe, which you can use when you promote the service. This means we know when people sign up for the service that they have come from your marketing.
How much do you pay?
We’ll pay you £5 for every Map My Tracks subscriber. If the user signs up for our free plan first and then upgrades to the Pro Plan within three months, we’ll still pay the same commission to you when they upgrade.
Once the total commission due to you reaches £25 (£50 for non-UK affiliates) we’ll send you a cheque or pay by PayPal. It’s as simple as that.
What help do affiliates get?
If you’re planning on promoting Map My Tracks on your website or emails, we can provide you with text, graphics or banners to use.
For affiliates who promote Map My Tracks offline, we can provide flyers that can be sent out with existing letters, newsletters or customers orders to promote Map My Tracks.
We’re always keen to work with our affiliates to help them and us spread the word about Map My Tracks. Any new ideas or thoughts about how to do this are very welcome.
How do I become an affiliate?
First you need to sign-up with Map My Tracks - you can do that here. If you don’t intend to use the Map My Tracks service yourself, then you only need to fill in the compulsory parts of the form (the ones with the asterisks).
Once you’re signed up with Map My Tracks, send us an email at affiliates@mapmytracks.com with your username and tell us a bit about how you’d like to promote Map My Tracks. We’ll get right back to you to set you up as an affiliate and get you started.
