Map My Tracks event manager
The web-based event manager provides event organisers with a comprehensive suite of tools to manage all aspects of their event and race tracking. The Event Manager continuously communicates with each participating competitor’s mobile phone and controls the event tracking. It allows event organisers to control the tracking of their event from any internet-enabled computer. As a hosted solution there is no software to install. All that is needed is a web browser.
The powerful Map My Tracks EMS is a cost-effective and practical solution that provides GPS tracking for mass participation sports events. It lets event organisers:
- Simultaneously track multiple competitors and display a bird’s eye view of the activity on the web
- Show it LIVE on the web for those that couldn’t make it
- Show it LIVE at race HQ on the big screen during the race for spectators
- Brand the race viewer with club or sponsor’s logos
- Entertain competitors with replays after the event
- Provide each competitor with a race breakdown of performance and a print-out of tracks

How does it work?
Using Map My Tracks at an event is simple. It works as 3 parts of one system.
Part 1 - Map My Tracks tracker
Each competitor carries a compatible mobile phone that has the Map My Tracks tracker software installed. Competitors are issued an unique event code by the organisers that is entered into the phone software. This allows a competitor to join an event and be tracked with everyone else. Joining an event can be done hours before the start and once done means the phone can be left alone. At this time the competitor no longer needs to do anything as the event management system takes control of the phone’s GPS and tracking is managed by the event organiser. Each competitor will require their own Map My Tracks plan to join an event.
Part 2 - Map My Tracks event management system
The web-based EMS controls the event tracking and race viewer. It lets event organisers set up each race with course marks, start and finish lines and control the tracking of all or individual competitors. During a race the event organisers can post news updates and photos directly to the race viewer for spectators to read or view.
Part 3 - Map My Tracks race viewer
The free race viewer lets spectators watch real-time action live to any web-enabled monitor, projector, or TV. The race viewer can be branded to feature sponsors logos and adverts and configured to illustrate the start and finish and route of each race. The race viewer also displays a comprehensive range of telemetry data and statistics for each competitor.
